San Benito County, California . 水纖菱鎂石常以纖維狀集合成球狀体，白色絲狀光澤，硬度 2.5，被覆於 蛇紋石上，遇稀鹽酸產生氣泡．最好的觀賞意境為∼the snow white fibrous balls of artinite set upon the greasy lustered jade green serpentine base. 常被誤認為沸石類（mesolite, pectolite, natrolite, okenite and gyrolite）．但沸石類很少和蛇紋石伴生，且遇鹽酸不起泡．
